Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Bianca Freitas is an artist who now lives in Okinawa, Japan.
Her interest in art began very early in her life, when she listened to her father play Bossa Nova and classic samba songs and when she saw him painting the old Rio de Janeiro landscapes he grew up in. When she arrived in the United States with her husband in 2009, Bianca saw this as opportunity to explore her artistic side. Her early work concentrated on exploring new materials and shapes to express her vision of art, which included the use of foam (EVA) to create wall decor, such as mandalas and arabesques. Meanwhile, she graduated from the New York Institute of Art and Design in Interior Design. In the mid-2017, she moved to Okinawa, Japan, bringing new inspirations and emotion to her art. |
